Giftable Memories is a woman owned small business located in the heart of eastern NC.

Our Mission is to provide keepsake gifts for people who are passionate about preserving memories, celebrating milestones and sharing their faith, who need to hear THANK YOU, so they know they have given a gift that will be treasured for a lifetime. We do that by creating products & designs centered around faith and family that incorporate your photos and loved ones’ handwriting to create a heirloom keepsake that will be treasured for a lifetime. 

We take pride in our Customer Service ~ our next door local customers get the same attention to detail as our large corporate customers. 


MEET OUR STAFF

Howdy, I'm Tonia ~ I am the owner of Giftable Memories.  I have crafted as long as I can remember. There is always a project on the craft table ~ it could be sewing, quilting, macrame, crochet, painting, jewelry-making, or scrapbooking. 

When my son was in school, I began selling my crafted items to help make ends meet.  Fast forward, and when he graduated I needed something to fill the empty nest ~ and Chic Hippo Designs was born. I ventured into the world of digital design & invested in sublimation equipment & a laser engraver. A few years later, we rebranded into Giftable Memories and launched into selling online with a real website & selling wholesale. 

In 2023 I was downsized from my Corporate USA job of 20+ years & simply decided to make this side hustle my full time gig.  I absolutely LOVE my job ~ the people I have met, the flexibility to make my schedule around my family ~ the creativity ~ it really is the American Dream!!

When I am not working ~ I am busy in the garden, kitchen, & making memories with the grands. 

Meet Kim Berryman ~ our first hire & the best bookkeeper we know & a dear sweet friend. 

In her own words ~ I went to school to become a nurse and graduated with an accounting degree!  I had an awesome 29 year career at a large pharmaceutical company.  I now work part time at a church and part for Giftable Memories.  

I met Tonia in 2004 when I started going to her church and she is a dear friend who has helped me raise my now grown children, Hunter & Hailey.  I have been married to the love of my life, Richard for 28 years.  

Now that we are empty nesters we pour our attention into our two spoiled rotten dogs, DK and Ewok.  We love to take day trips looking for thrift stores and good food.  I love music, play the piano and flute and sing in the choir.

Say HI to Yvette ~ our product photographer & my sister. Here is what she has to say about herself. 

Much to the surprise of my family, I entered the world of education and had what I would consider a successful career before retiring in 2022. Over the course of 30 years, I had the pleasure of filling several different roles, but teaching middle school math was definitely the highlight. 

Retirement has given me the chance to explore new paths. I work part-time as a Digital Navigator at Wilson Community College, where I help adults build their digital skills while they work towards earning their high school diploma. It feels like a perfect continuation of my work in the school system.   

Over a year ago, my sister, Tonia, reached out and asked if I would be interested in becoming the Product Photographer for Giftable Memories. It’s been such a joy experimenting with different ways to highlight these special products, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the creative journey it’s taken me on. 

While my work brings me joy, it will always take a back seat to my wonderful family. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Bryan, for 30 years, and together we’re proud parents to our son, JonTyler, who recently graduated from UNCW. Our favorite getaway is our place at the beach, but we also love exploring new destinations. Outside of family time, I’m an avid reader, enjoy catching a great show, and love relaxing to some good music.

Last but certainly not least is Colleen ~ our social media manager & my daughter in law.
